British motorcars to roll into Bristol in June
Hundreds of exotic cars are expected at Colt State Park - British Motorcar Festival June 7th and June 8th, 2019.
Just about a month before Bristol celebrates America’s break from England with the oldest Fourth of July celebration in the country, the town will celebrate the motherland when hundreds of exotic British cars roll into town.
More than 200 classic cars are expected at the fifth annual British Motorcar Festival at Colt State Park, June 7th - 8th, 2019. From Aston Martins, to Bentleys, Rolls-Royces, Jaguars, Austin-Healeys, Triumphs, MGs and more. Most of the classic British car makers will be represented.
The two day event begins on Friday morning June 7 with a scenic road tour taking in Island Park, Middletown, Sachuest Point, Adamsville and Tiverton.
Friday evening will start with a parade of classic cars that will proceed through the center of Bristol along a route lined with historic properties to the waterfront Independence Park. There the road will be closed for a Friday Night Street Party with food, drink and a live band.
The event is more than just a car show. It is announced as “a rather exceptional British lifestyle event.” Attendees are encouraged to dress in their fanciest British attire and most elaborate hats. Awards will be handed out to those decked out in the best British regalia, and guests will have to chance to meet our very own “Queen”.
On Saturday, June 8th the main event - The British Classic Motorcar Show, People’s Choice, where participants vote on winners by Class and the Concours d’Elegance — where judges declare their winners, including the best in show. The winners will show off their rides during a rolling review with commentary. We offer the British Car Corral where you will find exquisite motorcars for sale. We present “The British Racing Paddock” for British Racing Motorcars.
For the general public - Something for everyone! Gates open at 9 a.m., after which time visitors can mill around the field inspecting the vehicles and meeting the car owners.
General Admission Tickets cost $10 per/person and are available at the gate. Children under 12 are free. The event goes on rain or shine.
