About this event

NOTE:  Revised to Include New Information

The Fairfield County Concours has invited our Morgan club and its members to participate in their two day event September 11 and 12, 2010, being held at the Fairfield County Hunt Club in Westport, CT.   www.fairfieldcountyconcours.com.  The CT region of our club is paying a $200 club fee, which gives us the opportunity to register up to 50 cars for the Saturday event, Club Day.  Club Day provides us with a tent for meetings or morning coffee and conversation.
Cars do not have to be concours-quality and can be from any year (must be from marque that qualifies member for club). Following the morning club meetings there will be some interesting seminars offered.  There is a little something for everyone; For our Racing Fans, Bob Sharp, former race car driver and a wonderful presenter, will be speaking. Other seminars will be hosted by Dave Kinney and Rob Sass who will share about Vehicle Evaluations and Kent Bain from Automotive Restorations, Stratford, CT.  A barbecue luncheon will be offered ($20.00 per person to be pre-paid by each person attending). Every car that attends Club Day receives two, two-day passes to the Saturday Club Day and the Sunday Concours d'Elegance. Each club will select a peer judging winner who will be allowed to show their car on the Concours field on Sunday (it will not be judged, and the peer judging winner must bring their car on Sunday).  Displays of artists and automobilia vendors will also be on view. There will be a reception from 4-6pm to benefit the Concours' beneficiary (tickets must be purchased on the website) and access to a preview of the Bonhams auction that will be held on Sunday, September 12.

September 12 - Fairfield County Concours d’Elegance -   Those wishing to enter their Morgans in the concours d’elegance should go to the website listed above, click on About Usand then Enter a Vehicle and follow the entrance instructions.  There is no guarantee your vehicle will be admitted.   If you are interested, I suggest you fill out the application immediately.  The FCC is a Concours of noteworthy reputation.  They may admit only one type of car or year.  IE; one flat rad, one plus 4, one plus 8 or one 50’s Morgan, one 60’s Morgan, etc.  Your application will be competing with everyone entering a Morgan, not just the 34 club and the entries will come in from all over the country.  My advice is to apply as soon as you can.  “The early bird catches the worm."

I am the Morgan 34 club representative for this event so if you are interested in coming for club day or entering your Morgan in the concours please contact menshumsky@aol.com ASoon APossible.
